"Extract from the decrees of the city council of Orleans, 3 nivose, l'an 11."
A medal will be struck which will represent on one side the head of the First Consul and on
the other the reconstructed monument, with inscriptions commemorating this time.
This medal will be given only to people who have subscribed for the restoration
of the monument, as follows: one in bronze will be given free to subscribers
for a sum of 50 fr and above; one in silver to those of 100 Fr and above.
A subscriber may, by reason of the amount of his subscription, have many of
these medals; for example, for a sum of 150 Fr he may have a silver medal and
a bronze one.
Every subscriber for a sum below 50 Fr may have a bronze medal by paying the
value of the medal in addition to his subscription.
Measures will be taken so that only enough medals will be struck for the subscribers and for
the deposit in the foundations of the monument. The dies and matrices of this medal will be
deposited in the archives of the mayor.
