A Bonaparte vainqueur et pacificateur. (To Bonaparte, victor and peacemaker). Bust of Bonaparte to the left, in uniform. On the edge of the arm: Chavanne f. (Chavanne made it). Exergue: les Lyonnois reconns. (the grateful people of Lyon).
R. In an oak wreath: le x messr an viii Bonaparte a posé la 1ere pierre de la grande place de Lyon détruite en l'an ii (on 29 June 1800 Bonaparte set the first stone of Belle Cour Square, destroyed in 1793).
